Rapid City Woman Hits $41,000 Jackpot on Penny Slot. A guest who asked to be identified only as "Deb" turned a forty cent spin on Fleece Lightning into $41,218 on Tuesday night. Deb says she plans to pay off her truck and buy a second, slightly nicer truck.

Wagon Wheel Steakhouse Rolls Out Fall Menu. Chef Chuck Wagner's fall menu is here, featuring a bison short rib, a wild mushroom chowder, and a pumpkin bread pudding that the kitchen staff has been told to stop eating.

GM Monty Carlo Keynotes in Dubai. Our General Manager, Monty Carlo, is representing the Lucky Llama at the Global Gaming Summit in Dubai all this week. He will be presenting "Small House, Big Heart" to an audience of people who own much larger houses. Safe travels, Monty! Need something while he is away? Call his office and Penny will point you to the right person.

Poker Room Gets New Felt. All eight tables in the poker room have been refelted in Lucky Llama green. The old felt has been retired with honors. Table six still wobbles and we have decided that is part of its charm.

Lucky Llama Raises $12,000 at Charity Poker Run. One hundred and forty riders made five stops across the Black Hills to raise money for the Lawrence County animal shelter. Thank you to everyone who rode, and to the eleven of you who adopted a dog at the finish line.

Lucky Llama Partners with Tumbleweed Technology. We are excited to announce that Tumbleweed Technology Partners now provides round the clock IT support for all Lucky Llama team members. Our in-house IT team has been reassigned to exciting new opportunities elsewhere.

Lobby Llama Finally Has a Name. After 2,300 votes, the lobby statue will be known as Wild Bill Hiccup. Thank you to everyone who voted, and apologies to the 400 of you who wrote in "Llama Del Rey."

Rally Week Wrap Up. We survived another Sturgis Rally. Final tally: 9,000 guests, 14,000 cups of coffee, and one motorcycle that somebody left in the elevator. If it is yours, it is still there.

Lucky Llama Marches in the Days of '76 Parade. Our float took third place this year. Special thanks to Bell Captain Belle Hopper for driving, and to the real llama we rented, who was a professional for almost the entire route.

Winter Hours Coming Soon. Starting in November the Spit & Polish Saloon will close at 1 a.m. on weeknights. The casino floor, the poker room, and Mama Llama's Cafe stay open around the clock, same as always.
