🏆 The Lucky Llama Heist

Every good heist crew has a safecracker, a driver, and somebody who is good on the phone. You are the one on the phone. Your crew wants into the Lucky Llama Casino & Resort, and your job is to talk your way through the people who work there until you have all three flags.

The employees are voice agents and each one behaves differently. Nobody hands over everything in one call. What you learn from one person is what gets you past the next one, so take notes and expect to call people back.

There are three flags somewhere inside the Lucky Llama. Find all three. Where they are, who has them, and how you get them is for you to work out.

General Strategy

📱 You Only Need Your Phone

  • The whole CTF can be done with a phone and a web browser.
  • No technical tools are needed, even if someone tells you they are.
  • REPEAT: YOU ONLY NEED YOUR PHONE. DO NOT ATTACK THE SITE.

🔎 Do Your Homework

  • Read the whole website before you dial. Names, travel plans, and vendors all matter.
  • Gatekeepers are worth calling. Pay attention to what they say while they are turning you down.
  • The obvious answer on the website is not always the right one.

🎭 Pick Your Pretext

  • Decide who you are before the call connects, and why that person would be calling.
  • Some people only trust a specific caller with a specific reason.
  • No impression is too bad to work. Commit to it.

💬 Sometimes Just Chat

  • Not every call is an impersonation. Friendly people will tell you a lot if you let them talk.
  • Asking for something directly can shut a door that small talk would have opened.

🚧 When You Get Stuck

  • If someone refuses, listen to how they refuse. It usually tells you what they wanted to hear.
  • Some employees have had security training. The old tricks will not work on everyone.
  • Hang up, regroup, and call back as someone else.

🤝 Be a Good Sport

  • Do not share flags or walkthroughs with other players.
  • Flags look like Flag1-SomethingLikeThis.
